Comparison with analytical solution
In addition to comparing pySLAMMER’s results against the legacy SLAMMER outputs, it is worth comparing them against analytical solutions to sliding-block problems. Closed-form solutions are not available for complex ground motions, but they can be derived for simple harmonic motions and pulses (Conte and Dente 1989).
This page will report pySLAMMER’s calculated rigid sliding displacements for single-cycle harmonic motions over the 0.5–10 Hz frequency range against the corresponding analytical solution.

The analytical-comparison study has been scoped but not yet written up. The SLAMMER results comparison is the current authoritative verification reference.
