Technical guide
The technical guide collects the supporting material for using pySLAMMER with confidence: vocabulary, the bundled ground motion suite, and verification against the legacy SLAMMER program.
Sections
- Glossary — terms and conventions used throughout the documentation.
- Sample ground motion suite — the recorded motions bundled with pySLAMMER and their characteristics.
- Verification with SLAMMER’s results — comparison of pySLAMMER’s rigid, decoupled, and coupled analyses against the legacy SLAMMER outputs across the bundled motion suite.
- API reference — auto-generated reference for every public class and function.
Coming soon
A full technical manual covering the analysis methods (rigid Newmark integration, the Rathje-Bray decoupled approach, the Coupled formulation with the Lee 2004 foundation-radiation damping correction), the equivalent-linear site response loop, and pySLAMMER’s algorithmic choices is in preparation. Until then, the SLAMMER verification page and the forthcoming SoftwareX paper are the most complete written references.
